The observation of spin Seebeck effect in opposite spin Hall angle materials of polycrystalline bulk-Fe3O4/(Co/Fe) systems
FIG. 3. Pure ANE voltage measurements exhibited by (a) SiO2/Co and (b) SiO2/Fe systems as a function of magnetic field strength (H) and at the indicated applied temperature gradient (∇T) values. The measured voltages are seen to be of opposite sign between the two systems. Combined SSE+ANE voltage measure- ments of (c) bulk-Fe3O4/Fe and (d) bulk- Fe3 O4 /Co. (e) The ANE signal measured from bulk-Fe3O4.

The Observation of Spin Seebeck Effect of Hybrid Structure in Bulk Sintering Polycrystalline of Yttrium Iron Oxide (Y3Fe5O12)/Pt
Figure 7. The graph is demonstrated the comparison of spin Seebeck coefficient (S) between Pt/YIG single crystal and bulk polycrystalline. For IM configuration, the black and red lines are detailed the S signal on Pt/YIG single crystal and bulk polycrystalline, respectively. The blue one is also confirmed that the ANE of Pt/YIG-bulk polycrystalline from PM configuration can be negligible.

Cost-Effective Experimental Setup for Studies of Spin Seebeck Effect and Electrical Transport in Thermoelectric Materials
Fig. 2. (a) Model of the experimental setup for detecting the SSE. The magnetic field is generated by two NdPMs placed in the y-axis direction. A nonmagnetic, sample-containing vacuum chamber carrying the heat source and drain is inserted between the plates of the magnets. (b) An enlarged view of how the sample is placed between the hot and cold sides. To protect the sample from electric shorts, the sample is sandwiched between two AlN layers. The magnetic field (H) was applied in the y-axis direction to generate spin polarization in the material, and an ac was applied to the cartridge heater to produce heat. (c) Picture of the actual setup with the different parts labeled.

Thickness dependence of transverse thermoelectric voltage in Co40Fe60/YIG magnetic junctions
Fig.2 Thermal and electric magnetotransport properties of the Co40Fe60(t nm)/GGG and Co40Fe60(t nm)//YIG systems as a function of Co40Fe60 film thickness (t = 40, 10, and 7 nm). The transverse thermoelectric voltages were measured with the IM configuration (Fig. 1a) for (a-c), and with the PM configuration (Fig. 1c) for (d-f). The AHE signals were measured with the Hall-bar configuration (Fig. 1d) for (g-i). Lx, Ly and Lz are the dimensions of the samples in x, y, and z directions as depicted in Fig. 1.

(a-e) Transverse thermoelectric voltage measured with an in-plane magnetic field (longitudinal SSE configuration) and (f-j) with a magnetic field applied in the direction parallel to the surface normal (perpendicular magnetized configuration).
